Meet the Author

I'm a children's author with more than twenty years of experience as a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist. I'm also a public school mentor and a mom. My mission is to create materials and programs that help every child recognize and understand the value of reading, as well as their own value. My first book, Speech Class Rules, tells the story of a girl named Laney Lynn who was nervous to begin speech therapy. She ultimately discovered that it was a lot of fun and she made new friends in the process. It shares the message that everyone needs help with something and that's okay! My second book, When the World Slowed Down, teaches young children what happened in the pandemic and allows older children to share and process their own experiences through discussion questions and extension activities for the home and classroom. It offers everyone one of the most important lessons that we can all take with us from that time - that we all need to slow down and focus on what matters (which ultimately is each other).
